Sweetwater Creek State Park, Georgia

Whenever I go to Georgia, I make it a plan that I am going to visit Sweetwater Creek State Park. Located 15-20 minutes west of Downtown Atlanta and just east of Douglasville is this very woodsy park. Sweetwater creek (the actual creek) is very rocky and quite rapid. Located right next to the creek is the remains of the New Manchester Manufacturing factory. There's much more than just the awesome ancient looking remains but the history behind it. George Stoneman's cavalry destroyed the factory on July 9, 1864.
